Macaroni Ham & Cheese Salad

A Typical Early Summer Lunch! 

Yesterday we, the Veterans of the VFW-Post 2380 here in Deland, took part in our annual, Memorial Day celebration at Memorial Gardens. It was a wonderful remembrance of our brave fellow Veterans who are not with us anymore, but will not be forgotten. After the celebration was over, we all went for Lunch to the Post, where a loaded Buffet was waiting. Everybody brought a fine dish of delicious food. And from the Post's kitchen came a steady flow of slow roasted Brisket, Pulled Pork and Venison. My contribution to the laden Buffet was a simple Macaroni, Ham and Cheese Salad, which turned out to be what you see above. Cooked and Ice cooled Macaroni, chopped Onions and Garlic, with fine sliced Ham and Swiss Gruyere on a creamy Dressing, made with Apple Cider Vinegar, Sour Cream, some Mayonnaise and Dijon Mustard, all refined with a spoon of Half & Half, and spiced with Delicious Noise and served on a bed of Green Leaf and decorated with fresh peeled and diced Tomatoes... Try it!
